Quick Find
in
Have you ever seen something in Drupal, then much later find you need to use it but can't remember which part in was in? I have. Lots of times. So this section here is a Quick Find list to jog the memory as to where that specific thing/function/option was.
Listed in alphabetical order.
I have noted in many of these articles my Drupal specificatons, so that you can check them with your own for compatibility. Usually, the Drupal and Theme version I might have stated was at the time of writing..
You might just want to check my current Drupal specifications as this changes quite regularly due to required upgrades from Drupal.
- Comments - how to change/where is it?
- For instance, if you want to change whether comments are shown "flat list-expanded" or "threaded list - expanded", and so on. To change that, you need to know what type of content is the page on which the comments are, then
Admin > Content Management > Content Types > [select the affected content type, e.g. "story"] > edit > Comment settings
Note: this is not the same as Restyling Comments Area via the underlying CSS. - Custom Favicon or shortcut icon/ Logo
- to upload your own:
Administer > Content Management > Meta Tags (If you have the 'nodewords' (aka "meta tags") module installed. - Drupal version
- To quickly check which version of Drupal you are running:
Administer > Reports > Status Reports
- footer (powered by Drupal logo)
- You can disable or move this default logo in:
Administer > Site Building > Blocks(Or you can leave it as a show of support and appreciation for what a great free open source CMS system it is!) - footer (text)
- Administer > Site Configuration > Site Information > Footer message
- meta tags (global copyright, robots, revisit-after, description, geourl, keywords, abstract)
- To be able to specify if you can edit meta tags on edit pages of nodes, terms, and vocabularies:
Administer > Content Management > Meta Tags > (under) Tags to show on edit form - page title option
- To set which content type can/cannot have the field 'page title' (which will override any title pattern set):
Administer > Content Management > Page Titles > content type settings[tab] - robots meta tag (to set "to follow, no follow" etc.)
- Administer > Content Management > Meta Tags (If you have the 'nodewords' (aka "meta tags") module installed.
- Slogan - where to set it up
- Administer > Site Configuration > Site Information
- Turn On/Off: Logo, Site Name, Site Slogan, Mission Statement, Shortcut icon, Primary links, Secondary link
- Administer > Site Building > Themes > configure (link next to your default theme)
- Theme version
- To check theme module you might be using:
Administer > Site Building > Themes
