Exabytes Hosting – Will Say Bye-Bye

My hosting provider, Exabytes is driving me crazy.  Over a period of a year, the load speed and even accessibility of my sites have been slow on speed and spasmodic on accessibility.  Exabytes has one of the best customer service around.  They truly offer 24/7 service. I can email-contact them at any time of day or night. And they will respond within minutes to a couple of hours.

And that is one of the reasons why I have been so reluctant to switch from them. The other reason is that I have not been full-on at my sites – only working once in a while. So their servers’ poor performance has not been such a bug bear to me.

But now that I have re-started working almost full time at my sites, it is getting harder and harder to deal with the very slow load times. Almost daily, I encounter “database connection error”, “service request exceeded”.

I tried to give BlueHost a go but as I said in “Blue Host – Too Slow“; their almost one week response rate to a query just put me off completely.

The next highly reviewed (as of 2014) hosting provider on the cards is InMotion.  I just need a huge chunk of time to sit down and seriously put the wheels into motion of this big move.  With a number of sites being affected and huge amounts of data; this will not be a one-minute job.

But sad to say, unless a miracle occurs and Exabyte’s loading service improves, it will be bye bye Exabytes.  Right now, Exabytes have made my sites some of the slowest on the net. 🙁
